Our Story
Mount Leslie was purchased by JL Hudspeth in 1930 from the Grubb family Circa 1830. Mount Leslie, then was approximately 3000 acres of Eucalyptus, Casuarina and Acacia bushland with native grasses. Over the next fifty years the property was developed into a profitable wool producing and beef enterprise introducing clover and rye grass with the combination of aerial fertilisation and land clearing with pasture renovation to approximately sixty percent of the property.
in the late 1970’s a greater portion of Mount Leslie was sold to the ENT Group and later developed to what is now known as the Country Club Casino and Blackstone Heights.
As the fourth generation of the Hudspeth King Roberts family, we maintain the continuation of tradition, of pastural and grazing practices transforming to a more intensive commercial Hereford Beef enterprise.
Our family carry on the vision of sustainable farm practice into the future, caring for our herd and environment equally.
